Sunday Mornings

Worship is an important aspect of growing as a follower of Jesus Christ. Worship is the gathering together of believers to experience God in singing, Bible reading, and praying. We gather together each Sunday morning to worship.

Worship

St. John's conducts two traditional worship services, at 8:30am and 11:00am, both in the Sanctuary (corner 4th & Jackson/Hwy-90A). Find us on a map here.

Our worship music is a blend of hymns and praise songs, with anthems by the adult choir, and special performances by the children's choir, youth choir, and handbell choirs throughout the year. Sermons generally follow the Revised Common Lectionary. The adult choir also presents a cantata during both the Christmas and Easter seasons.

Fellowship Time

Each Sunday morning, we gather after the early service and before Sunday School, to greet each other and share breakfast snacks. Methodists are well-known for sharing food! Please join us in the Gathering Room (105) near the Sanctuary and church offices.
