Community Projects

"Love your neighbor..." - Jesus Christ

Another hallmark of the Methodist tradition is the desire for all followers of Jesus Christ to extend love and compassion to those in need. We express that love and compassion through service to others both inside and outside St. John's UMC. We serve our neighbors in the downtown Richmond area as well as various projects around the world. Some of the programs and projects we are involved in include our sponsorship of Deaf Smith Elementary School, supporting H.O.M.E. Project, providing fully-stocked backpacks for underprivileged local students, distributing manna bags to the homeless, various outreach and support tasks by our Care Team, and a multitude of Christmas ministries.
