Church MembershipHow to Join
are honored by your interest in the ministry of St. John's and look
forward to sharing more information with you. We strive to be a
Christ-centered servant church where lives are transformed and every
member has a place to be involved in ministry. If you have not already
done so, we invite you to come and visit our church and participate in
worship with us.
every week one or more individuals or families new to our community or to St.
John's join us as we participate in worship. We are anxious to get to
know you and to have you as a member of our church family.
Traditionally, there are three ways you can become a member of St.
John's United Methodist Church:
1. Baptism and Profession of Faith:
A person professing Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior,
participating in the Sacrament of Baptism and becoming a baptized
member of St. John's UMC.
2. Transfer of membership from another denomination: A person coming by transfer of membership from another Christian faith tradition.
3. Transfer from another United Methodist Church: A person coming by transfer of membership from another United Methodist Church.
At the close of worship, we
invite you to meet the pastors at the altar during the singing of the
final hymn and make the vows to support the church with your prayers,
your presence, your gifts, your service and your witness. This is a special moment
for all of the congregation and does not require that you make any
prior arrangements. If you are not comfortable joining during a worship
service, please contact one of the pastors to make other arrangements.
If you would like more information about
joining St. John's please contact our senior pastor, Reverend Eric Ryburn, at email@example.com or call the church
office at 281.342.6631.
We look forward to getting to know you and to having you as a part of our church family.
